Shopping Luxury on eBay

ebay.JPG

If you’ve been following me for awhile you know that I share affordable and attainable style daily on my Instagram. I’m a firm believer that you don’t have to spend a fortune to put a nice outfit together. With that being said, every girl does have that one thing she splurges on, and recently for me it was this Gucci bag I snagged on eBay. As much as I love sharing affordable items with you all, I also have an appreciation for luxury items and am willing to invest on a designer bag that will last for years and years.

I’m honestly new to buying designer bags but I’ve always heard great things about eBay and their authenticate program. This program means I can shop for luxury items on eBay with total confidence because I know that experts verify their authenticity. I’ve had my eye on this Gucci bag for months and finally decided to treat myself. eBay has a great selection of luxury bags from brands like Chanel, Prada, Louis Vuitton. There’s also an eBay trick I want to share. Simply filter to "authenticated" products using the toolbar on the left hand side so you can search for any specific brand or bag, then click on the filter to show only authenticated results.

Current favorite luxury bags on eBay:

Honestly narrowing it down to just one bag was difficult when I started scrolling on the authenticate program- there were so many others I liked! It’s also comforting to know that here is a money back guarantee with the program so if you have any doubts that your item is real you can return it to be re-examined. If eBay finds that the item isn’t authentic they will issue a full refund.

Another thing that makes me want to shop luxury on eBay is they host events like the one currently running until June 1st where major luxury sellers offer discounts. I’m all about a discount and if I can get one on a gently used designer handbag I’m all for it. I’m so happy with my experience shopping for a designer bag on eBay and highly recommend it.

Travel Guide : The Pointe 30A

the pointe 30a-1-3.jpg

I’m so excited to finally share this post with you guys! I’m sure most of you remember that earlier this month I stayed at The Pointe in Rosemary Beach with a few of my blogger friends. This was my first time visiting this part of Florida and honestly I fell in LOVE with the area! The Pointe is a boutique, hotel-style resort in Rosemary Beach off 30A highway. Traveling from Dallas was super easy with a quick nonstop flight and 30 minute drive from Panama City Airport to our hotel. We rented a car for our trip since we heard Ubers can take forever for pickups. If you’re like us and too impatient to deal with that I highly recommend renting a car when visiting this area. ResortQuest is the exclusive rental management company that manages The Pointe property and you can book your next trip through their website.

I’m breaking down my trip below. More on where we stayed, what we did and where we ate !

Where we stayed: The Pointe by ResortQuest

We were all honestly blown away at how nice our room was. If you saw the tour on my insta story you know what I’m talking about! It honestly felt like we were in a luxury apartment versus a hotel, which we obviously enjoyed. There were a total of 3 bedrooms that were huge and all had spacious bathrooms. Our hotel had an open floor plan that made the living area and kitchen very comfortable and great for entertaining. It’s definitely not necessary to go out for all your meals when staying at The Pointe. We enjoyed breakfast and coffee in the comfort our place every morning. We also had a large dining table, fireplace and wrap around balcony patio which made it feel even more like a home away from home.

The Pointe is in the perfect location, walking distance to Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach and directly across the street from shops and restaurants at 30 Avenue. A short bike ride or walk will take you to the sugar-white sand and beautiful water of South Walton beaches.

The Pointe has a gorgeous resort style pool with cabanas and lounge chairs surrounding it. This area is perfect for relaxing all day. I love how convenient everything is, if you get hungry there’s Big Bad Breakfast next to the pool where you can order breakfast or lunch and then get back to laying out! I also appreciate the fact that The Pointe has an updated fitness center with a mirror virtual trainer and peloton bike! I don’t always work out on trips but when the gym is updated it definitely makes me more inclined to go.

What to do:

Beach Day - A beach day (or several) is a must in Rosemary Beach! The Pointe offers two complimentary chairs and umbrellas at the beach that is walking distance or a short bike ride away. We packed a cooler and had a picnic on the beach one day and it was SO nice. The beaches are stunning in this area so it’s also a great place to take pictures with the fam or your friends!

Explore - We took our jeep out and explored different parts of 30A. My favorite area was Alys Beach, where the most stunning homes are located and everything around is seriously picture perfect. It’s a great spot to take pictures or just walk around and admire the real estate.

There’s also a great area called The Hub that I recommend checking out. It’s a great outdoor space filled with a few restaurants, ice cream and snow cone shops! There’s also a stage and big screen where they have live music, host movie nights, etc! We had the best time here watching the Kentucky Derby on the big screen.

Pool Day - Start out with breakfast at Big Bad Breakfast and then post up in a poolside cabana at The Pointe until lunch time. I highly recommend trying George’s at Alys Beach for lunch. They have a super cute patio and the coconut curry chicken salad paired with a mimosa will win you over.

Where to eat:

La Crema Tapas & Chocolate - Definitely my favorite dinner of the trip! You have to try the cheese fondue, brussel sprouts, pasta Del Mar and chocolate fondue. Enjoy a sunset happy hour at The Pearl or Pescado first and then walk over to La Crema to end your night!

The Pearl - This hotel is GORGEOUS! I highly recommend going to take some pictures during sunset and having drinks at their rooftop bar, Havana.

Bud & Alleys Taco Bar - We spent Cinco de Mayo of all days at this cute taco spot! It was the perfect place to enjoy tacos and margaritas. Make sure to try the fish tacos!

Pescado - Absolutely loved our dinner here! This is another restaurant perfect for watching the sunset on the patio. The outdoor tables are open seating and indoor tables require a reservation. Plan ahead and make your reservations early because it stays packed!

Great Southern Cafe - We had a great dinner here and I loved the atmosphere and casual vibe of it. The menu offers the best southern style dishes and I promise you won’t leave on an empty stomach!

Thank you ResortQuest for hosting our girls trip at The Pointe! It was an amazing experience and we can’t wait to be back in Rosemary Beach again soon!

Punta Mita + Casa Koko Travel Guide

casa-koko-punta-mita-mexico-2.jpg

Last month I shared a ton of pictures on my Instagram from the most gorgeous property I’ve ever stayed - Casa Koko. Today I’m going to share all about our stay at this stunning slice of paradise in Punta Mita. Be sure to scroll all the way down to see everything that Casa Koko has to offer!

Punta Mita

Mexico is always a good time in my opinion so of course I was on board for this trip. Punta Mita is about 45 minutes northwest of Puerto Vallarta. Traveling to this area is super quick from Dallas and by lunch we were walking into Casa Koko and greeted by a friendly staff and strong margaritas. I’ve been to Punta Mita before and it’s definitely one of my favorite spots in Mexico to visit. The ocean views, palm trees and gorgeous flowers literally everywhere make it an ideal vacation destination. I feel like this area is perfect for all kinds of groups including girls trips, couples, and even families!

Where to Stay | Casa Koko

Punta Mita only has a few hotels and resorts. Aside from that you have the option to rent a condo or home during your stay. On the other hand, if you’re looking for a luxurious villa I can’t recommend Casa Koko enough. When people ask me how this trip was and what I thought of our villa, I have the same response every single time. Casa Koko is hands down the nicest, most luxurious place I will ever stay in my life. I am 100 percent sure of that. The girls I traveled with all agree that we were so lucky to have stayed at Casa Koko thanks to the planning of Rejane with the R-List.

Casa Koko is a huge property that can accommodate up to 22 people. There are 9 rooms but you don’t have to book all of them during your stay. It’s a minimum of 3 nights and 3 bedrooms. A few of us bunked up together but honestly the rooms are so spacious that it never felt crowded. I loved the open concept of this villa and the cute little paths and bridges that connect the property. Words really can’t describe the luxurious feel of Casa Koko but I think the pictures do it justice. With how big it is, this villa is perfect for large groups. I think it’s especially great for a group couples trip or bachelor/bachelortette groups.

Other features of Casa Koko include:

  • Personal chef

  • Private butler

  • Spa + gym

  • Activities director (yoga, biking, surfing, personal trainer)

  • Access to Punta Mita beach clubs

  • Golf access to Jack Nicklaus signature 18-hole golf courses

  • Sailing to Marietas Island

What we did during our stay

Casa Koko planned our entire itinerary before we ever arrived. It was so nice not having to try to plan things out ourselves and make sure everyone agreed on the activities, etc. We spent the majority of the time at Casa Koko but also ventured out for a little fun!

Friday: We arrived in the afternoon and were greeted with lunch and margaritas. Afterwards we took a tour of the property and picked our rooms. Jaclyn and I bunked together and our room was very spacious and never felt crowded. Our group dinner at the villa this night was incredible. We had surf-n-turf that included lobster, steak, shrimp and much more.

Saturday: We went sailing with Vallarta Adventures and had so much fun! I’ll be honest I actually got sea sick for the first time ever! NOT FUN. I managed to keep it together and still had a lot of fun. The staff provided yummy snacks and cocktails during the sail and were very accommodating! After this we went to the Kupuri Beach Club for lunch and more margaritas (duh). I was a big fan of the beach club and highly recommend if you’re ever in Punta Mita. We had a little section right by the ocean where we were able to relax and take in the amazing view.

That night we went to dinner at the Punta Mita Residents Beach Club. There were so many interesting dishes and I was shocked that I actually tried Octopus for the first time! Everything was so delicious and it was another night spent with great company!

Sunday: This was by far my favorite day of the entire trip! It was basically a sunday funday, Casa Koko style. Of course we woke up and took pictures like the responsible working bloggers we are, ha! After that we just chilled and had lunch by the pool. The spicy margs were also flowing this day and resulted in Jaclyn and I having our own little pool party. We were the only ones who actually went swimming which is kind of shocking haha. Maybe it was the tequila that caused it but we had the best time jumping onto the floats and playing in the pool.

That night we all dressed in white and had another group dinner at the villa. Another amazing meal, no surprise there. I have to brag on the staff, who were so nice and accommodating to all our needs. I honestly never had an empty drink in hand the entire time!

I could talk about Casa Koko all day long and share the over the top experience we had in more detail, but I think the pictures and description do it justice. If you’re ever looking for a luxurious escape in Punta Mita, you know where to go!

Thank you Casa Koko for hosting us on this amazing girls trip that I will truly never forget!

Only Good Hair Days with the Pantene Festival Hair Kit

Pantene Pic 4.JPG

Festival season is upon us and even though I sadly missed Coachella I have plenty more on my radar in the coming months! My hair usually suffers during and after attending a festival but thankfully this year I can bring along my Pantene Festival Hair Kit to protect it and keep it looking healthy. The limited-edition Pantene Festival Hair Kit is basically a portable haircare pack, created to help women achieve radiant hair before, during and after festivals, and on long summer days. I personally love this kit because it’s packed full of five essential styling products that are ideal to rescue, reset and nourish my hair wherever I am.

Products I use during the festival

Dry Shampoo - I’m a Dry Shampoo junkie so it’s no surprise that this is my most used product in the kit. I have zero interest in washing my hair while I’m trying to party it up at a festival so I use this (daily) to keep my hair feeling fresh and clean in between washes. Naturally my hair gets super oily pretty fast after washing. I like how this Dry Shampoo absorbs ALL the oil and instantly refreshes my hair. I just spray it at the roots, or wherever refreshment is needed most, for a fresh second or third day ‘do!

On-the-Go Frizz Iron - I have fly-aways like no other and this On-The-Go Frizz Iron is my bff during festival season. It helps tame and keep those pesky hairs down without any heat or water. In addition to controlling fly-aways and frizz, this tool can also be used to straighten, smooth and moisturize hair! It’s like a traditional flat iron, but without the heat – you just clamp the Frizz Iron around your hair and glide from top to bottom.

Airspray - The Airspray (alcohol-free hairspray) is a serious God send! I love how it locks out humidity while adding shine for hours on end. I also really like the fact that the spray is alcohol-free, which is a huge plus in my opinion. This is a “brushable” spray and should be applied evenly on dry, styled hair. It creates a light-weight, finished look!

Products I use post-festival

Instense Rescue Shots - My hair needs some major TLC after festivals so I depend on the Intense Rescue Shots to repair the damage caused by my braids, hair dye, and so on. It only takes one use for these shots to make my hair feel noticeably healthier. It’s so important to treat your hair after being out in the heat and humidity. After washing your hair with shampoo, apply the shot onto damp hair and massage from root to tip, targeting the areas that see the most damage. Leave in for 30 seconds, rinse for 30 seconds.

Nourishing Mask sachets - After a few days in the sun at festival my hair craves hydration. The Pantene Festival Hair Kit comes with two masks that diminish the dryness in one simple application. While in the shower, after shampooing, place a half dollar amount into your hands and comb the mask through your hair from mid-shaft to ends. Leave on for 5-7 minutes, or longer if desired. The best part about these are that they rinse quickly to avoid weighed-down hair while repairing extreme damage.

A Few Product Benefits

In addition to all the amazing features above, the product benefits are pretty incredible too. One major thing to point out is Pantene products are made with a blend of Pro-V nutrients for healthier hair inside and out. Festival season is all about having fun and nobody has time to wash their hair when they’re trying to party, am I right? I’m so glad I got my hands on this Festival Hair Kit because these 5 products combine together to allow me to re-style my hair without having to re-wash, aka more time to have some festival fun!

Although this kit is designed for festival hair care use, that won’t stop me from using it on hot summer days that are ahead! I can always use a little help in the hair department, especially given the fact Texas summer temps reach (and sometimes surpass) 100 degrees! I think this Festival Hair Kit is not only great for fun festival trips, but also for extended hours in the heat. The five products in the Pantene Festival Hair Kit are going to be a life saver this spring/summer and will keep my hair looking its best. I definitely recommend trying the kit out for yourself and experience all the amazing features and benefits it offers!
